Sunday Nightlife in London: Best London Clubs Open on Sunday

Request to book a table or join a guestlist for the most exclusive London nightclubs.

Sunday is a quiet night in most of London, but not in and around Mayfair. Of the clubs we book, three open on Sunday nights: Tape London, Dear Darling Mayfair and Selene London. All three open at 11pm (Tape closes at 3:45am, the other two at 4am), all three keep their guestlist for ladies, and all three take table bookings from a £1,000 minimum spend. This guide covers what each one is like, how to get in, and what to plan for on a Sunday.

Tape London

Tape is the club most people mean when they ask which London clubs are open on a Sunday. It sits at 17 Hanover Square in Mayfair, a short walk from Oxford Circus, and it is one of the city's best-known celebrity clubs. Sundays tend to draw its regulars and a crowd whose working week does not start on Monday morning.

The music is hip-hop and RnB with Afrobeats mixed in. Table guests get bottle service and can request songs during the champagne shows.

  • Tables: standard tables from a £1,000 minimum spend, VIP tables from £2,000. Guys and mixed groups need a table.
  • Guestlist: ladies only, with complimentary entry and drinks and access to a promoter table. We confirm guestlist requests within 12 hours.
  • Dress code: smart and elegant. Heels or heeled evening boots for women; for men, an elegant shirt, smart trousers and smart shoes or on-trend trainers. No sportswear or beachwear.

Dear Darling Mayfair

Dear Darling, at 91 Jermyn Street in St James (nearest tube Green Park), suits a Sunday that starts slowly. It has two floors: house music upstairs, and hip-hop and RnB downstairs. The house floor works if you want to talk and ease into the night; downstairs is the full club setting. The venue has hosted hip-hop artists including Rick Ross and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie.

  • Tables: standard tables from a £1,000 minimum spend, VIP tables from £2,000. The price depends on group size, the night and the floor, and a table gives you both floors.
  • Guestlist: ladies only, with a reduced entry fee, complimentary drinks and access to both floors.
  • Dress code: smart and elegant. Heels or heeled evening boots for women; an elegant shirt, dress trousers and dress shoes for men. Plan on dress shoes rather than trainers here.

Selene London

Selene, at 4 Winsley Street near Oxford Circus, is an Ancient Greece-themed club with its own private bowling lanes. It plays hip-hop and RnB and hosts celebrity performances; past performers include Central Cee, Wiz Khalifa and Sexyy Red. It also opens on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, so it covers both ends of the weekend.

  • Tables: standard tables from a £1,000 minimum spend, VIP tables from £2,000, with bottle service and champagne shows with song requests.
  • Guestlist: ladies only, with reduced entry and complimentary drinks. We confirm guestlist requests within 12 hours.
  • Dress code: smart and elegant. Heels or heeled evening boots for women and smart clothing for men. Trainers, sportswear and beachwear are not permitted.

Planning a Sunday night out

  • Guestlist or table. The guestlist at all three clubs is for ladies, so guys and mixed groups book a table. A minimum spend is what the table spends on drinks over the night, not an entry fee on top. Our guide to VIP table prices in Mayfair clubs explains how minimums work, and the London nightclub guestlist guide covers the guestlist side.
  • Timing. Doors open at 11pm. When we book you in, we confirm your arrival time; arriving close to it is the easiest way through the door.
  • Getting home. TfL runs the Night Tube only on Friday and Saturday nights, so there is none after a Sunday out. Tape closes at 3:45am and the other two at 4am: plan a taxi or night bus home before you go.
  • Budget. For what a full night costs beyond the table, see the average cost of a night out in London.

Is Sunday a good night to go out in London?

Yes, if you pick the venue. Most clubs in London close after Saturday, so the Sunday crowd gathers at the few that open, and the three above are where we book Sunday tables and guestlists every week. For the wider city beyond the clubs we book, Time Out's London nightlife guide is a good place to browse.

To book a table or join the guestlist at Tape, Dear Darling or Selene, see London nightclub bookings or message us and we will take it from there.
