Amazónico London: Late Nights in the Jungle & How to Get In

Amazónico brought the jungle to Berkeley Square, and with it, one of Mayfair's most reliable late-night rooms hiding beneath a restaurant. Here's how the night side of Amazónico actually works, and how to turn it into a full night out without crossing the square.

What Amazónico Is

Opened on Berkeley Square in 2019 from the Madrid original, Amazónico is a rainforest-themed restaurant: palms, greenery and low light around a Latin American menu with Japanese influences. The reason it belongs on a nightlife site is downstairs: the bar and lounge level runs DJs and live music late, and on Thursday to Saturday nights it operates as a party room in its own right, drawing the same international Mayfair crowd as the square's clubs.

It's a genuine dinner-into-night venue: one of the few in London where staying put after dessert is a real plan.

How to Get In

Reservations with the venue. The routes that work:

Dinner first, lounge after: the natural flow, and the reliable one on weekends.
A lounge booking directly: for skipping straight to the late part.
Early walk-in: plausible before the room fills; by late evening on a Friday or Saturday, unbooked groups are gambling.

From the Jungle to the Dancefloor

The lounge is a party, not a club. When you want a dancefloor, tables and a late finish, the clubs we book are a short walk from the square:

Maddox Club: Mill Street, north of the square: hip-hop, RnB and house, with the Green Room running until 6am.
London Reign: Piccadilly: champagne shows, hip-hop, RnB and commercial.
Dear Darling: Jermyn Street, near Green Park: house upstairs, hip-hop downstairs.
Scotch of St James: Mason's Yard, St James's: open-format until 5am.

Funky Buddha and Luxx on Berkeley Street have closed, and Itzel (formerly Funky Buddha) now operates at their address; we book Itzel too, so ask us when you enquire. Tabu on Dover Street is now Rumour and Cuckoo Club on Swallow Street is now 99 Regent Street, and we book both.
